Heaven..I'm in Heaven....

This is me and my version of ecstasy....a dessert table with a chocolate fountain! MMMM!

These guys are the local rickshaw drivers of our neighbourhood. Since CIS staff came to Yehalanka, business has been good. Last Saturday, they took the day off to celebrate Karnataka, the state in which we live. Celebrations started on the first of November and last all month long. Red and yellow are the state colours.
That's Shrinivas and Jayaram next to their autos.

I love my job!

Finished painting this cubby cabinet for the pre-kindergarten class in the elementary wing. I know I've had a good day at work if I finish it off with my fingers covered in paint.

After a few months...my art room sink has finally arrived. Now it just has to be built.....

Took my senior art students on their first field trip....a place called the Karnataka Chitramakla Prishanth Art College. I feel like a real art teacher now...hooray!

As well, just finished a painting in a style that I'm really happy with. Saw this monochromatic watercolour style being used by an artist in Mahaballipuram when I was there...I've modified it slightly and made a portrait of Thelonius Monk. I made him all yellow cause he's one of the most cheerful jazz musicians I've ever listened to. It's about 1.5x2ft in size.

Random photos from my life here...

Me and Rabeen , manager of our favorite local restaurant "Green Park".My usual is peanut masala, garlic naan and chicken tikka and beer which they don't have a license to serve, so you have to wait a while for them to ride out(by bicycle) and get it from a local bar.

Me at the technology and innovation museum.

Singing with Pink Champagne again...we're working on the name!

Rainy season has started...downpours are fast and furious.

Best purchase so far...washing machine split between me and Andrea.

Last two pics at Bangalore's planetarium....just as good as T.O.'s used to be.
